A narrow site atop a steep slope dictated the home’s long, slender form. The house opens to a generous oval-shaped side yard, which is overlooked by the family room and a large porch. Natural light is captured throughout the house in the service of a substantial art collection. The interior architecture is accented with curving plaster and painted trim details including a pendentive dome and oculus in the family room. The first floor consists of a large integrated living area including a kitchen, informal dining area, family room and screened porch along with a formal living room, dining room and office. The master suite includes a small reading room along with two additional bedrooms and an in-law suite on the second floor. The finished third floor contains two bedrooms and a small shared living space.
